Tax Bills to be Mailed Mid-December
The 2011 Town of York Property Tax bills are scheduled to be mailed out to you Mid-December so please watch for them to arrive in your mailbox. Also, the Property Tax Roll has been added to the website, just click on the link under Finances in the menu on the left or this link http://www.townofyork.org/finance/property-tax/
Need to sign-up for the lottery credit?
If you owned your home on January 1, 2011 and used it as your primary residence you may qualify for a lottery credit on your tax bill.
Lottery Credit Information
You are eligible for the state lottery credit if:
- the property is your primary residence, and
- you have owned and lived in the home since January 1st, 2011.
You may also claim a lottery credit if you moved into your home during 2010 and you can attest that to the best of your knowledge the previous owner used the property as their primary residence. The lottery credit is not available for new construction that was completed after January 1st.

How to Claim a Lottery Credit
The City cannot accept lottery credit requests after January 31st, 2012. If you qualify for a 2011 lottery credit but did not have one on your tax bill, you can fill out a late lottery credit form to request the credit. Click on the link below to download a claim form.
After January 31, 2012 claim forms must be sent to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Forms must be received by the Department of Revenue by October 1st, 2012.
